Here are 3 Ways to Simplify Your Next Home Move

Moving into your new home can be an overwhelming task, especially if you've never done it before! Whether you're moving into your new Red Door Home or any other, there are a few tips that can make your big move a lot less stressful.

1. Get Rid Of Unwanted Items

Moving into your new home can often signal a fresh start. Over the years you've probably acquired a lot of trinkets and other items. My trick is to ask myself, "Have I used this in the last 6 months and do I see myself using it in the next 6?" If the answer is no, often donating that item or letting it go is the best option.

2. Stay Organized

If you've ever helped a family member or friend unpack their things in a new home you'll often hear them say, "Where's my _____" more times than you can count. Staying organized helps the move go smoothly, trust me, you'll be thanking your future self that you did.

3. Pack A Bag For The Night

The first night in your new home should be an exciting one. But no matter how organized you are, you'll often be scrambling for your toothbrush and other things that night. Pack a bag of all the things you need for your first night that way you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying your new home!
