About The Washington Area

Washington, NC, also known as The Original Washington or Little Washington, is located on the northern bank of the Pamlico River and 20 miles west of Greenville. Established in 1776, it is the first city named after George Washington. Although their population is around 10,000 they have plenty of art, history and culture, and are anything but small.

Washington takes their art seriously with over 7 art galleries alongside several festivals and according to them, art is an integral part of their community. They don't stop there, they also have a great food scene, housing over 35 restaurants to choose from. With a cute downtown located on the waterfront lined with their galleries, cute antique shops, it is nothing but charming.
